Today on Sordid Guilty Pleasures of the Demo, Brett Erlich ashamedly gives thanks for the magazine that allows him to be 40,000 feet in the air, and still buy a watch that tells him where fish are.

skymall is a serious source of entertainment on flights! thanks conor and brett for covering this most important of capitalist culture phenomenons.

Didn't realize how difficult those ripsticks really were. But I always enjoy looking at all the crap in those magazines as well.
-
those ripsticks are hard. me and my friend wanted to try them out, so we went to sports authority and couldn't ride it.
that sounded mildly dirty.-

the skymall magazine should turn into a flotation device itself.. I mean how am I going to pass the time and entertain myself once I survive a crash landing into the vast ocean at around 700 miles an hour?!

I am still crossing my fingers for the Sordid Guilty Pleasures' exploration of Gilmore Girls. The show may be off the air but we all know we love watching it in syndication on the Family Channel.
... but I have received some gifts from Skymall as well. Really who needs a replicated wand from the Harry Potter films? I did apparently. As a graduation gift.-

I can't argue anything. On my way back from Bangkok, I bought the tomato grower that lets them grow upside down, and my one eyed dog a staircase to my bed. But alas, I didn't think to check if it had guard rails. He just kept walking off the side of it, never really reaching his target - the bed.
RIP Spike... you now have a stairway to Heaven to walk up, and it will never let you fall over the side -
Skymall has been a guilty pleasure of mine on flights for a few years now. Nice going here -- the piece flowed really well.

it's ok. these are my friends who taped me on my first time of skateboarding, then posted it on you tube... notice the feet flying one way with the board flying in the opposite direction. first times are usually never good. -
As a former flight attendant, I must agree that the absurdity of items in the skymall mag are down right hilarious... but not quite as much as seeing those who actually buy them. That is what is truely pee-your-pants-hilarious!
"you forgot to own a book" - love it -
I wish a Sky Mall was right around the corner, instead of the sky

So I was on a plane a couple weeks ago.
and I read skymall, because my i-pod was dead, i didn't feel like reading my book, and well i didn't feel like talking to anyone at the moment.
and as i was reading skymall, all i heard was..
"skkymaall"-
