  • Wrong answer! As long as "Corporatism" is "King" and as long as K street elects our politicians and as long as those politicians care more about re-election funds than their constituents as everyone but John Edwards does, then the economy will forever spiral in a way that benefits the wealthy at the expense of the middle class.

In 1970 30% of the wealth of the U.S. was owned by the richest 1% in the country. That was THIRTY PERCENT of the wealth owned by the richest 1% of the people!

Today, the richest 1% now own FORTY percent of the wealth! 40% compared to 30% in 35 years. Proof positive of the old saying "the richer get richer and the poor get poorer."

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, if you value the principles and ideals that populate the American Dream of rising from mediocrity to make a better life for yourself, the politicians in America, along with the lack of regulation and legislation that help prevent corporate bullying are allowing those opportunities to die a slow death.

Edwards gets that and he is practically the only one besides Ron Paul. However Ron Paul's libertarian leanings will still allow a Laizzez Faire attitude with some of the most corrupt industrial giants in the world - not a good sign if you want quick relief from Corporate Fascism.
