Randy Klein drove a New York cab to put himself through art school. He enjoyed learning the scams and the hustles of being a New York taxi driver. But one night things changed when he found himself held up at gunpoint. Later, he made a book of drawings about his experience, and the film mixes narration art work and filmed images to tell his story.

Here is a link to a similar story about a guy who turned to street sweeping after dropping out of college...

Dear Caroline. I love the drawings did you also did them? I was attracted to the story but was hopping to find out if he actually was able to pull Art School education with this job? Also the music at the end is a bid overwhelming and sentimental I do not think you need it. This seams to me like a big piece cut down to meet current "standards"? I can see this as a longer piece and still enjoy it. Thank you and good work.

Hi Notothewall
Glad you liked the film. Randy got through art school, and is now a successful professional artist, and living in London. The drawings are his, he made a number of drawings about his experiences as a taxi driver.
