Super Hybrid Gets 150 MPG

The only downside is having to plug it in at night. Living in the city, that would be impossible since I don't have an outside outlet handy and would need a really big extention cord to reach over blocks to get it to an outlet depending on where I would have to park it. Hopefully that kink can be worked out and perhaps some kind of energy pack can be removed from the car at night instead able to be charged in the home like a cell phone. Of course for me solar powered is the way to go if we really want to see a future for sustainable cars, but 150 MPG is fantastic.

  • Plug-in is the long anticipated missing Ying to the Hybrid Yang. Being a suburb kid born and raise I can't believe I never thought about the simple city=no parking predicament. Solar, I don't think would give us enough energy we would need unfortunately and a removable battery back would need a cart of some sort to wheel it home... Good ideas though!

But maybe at the bottom of city light posts they could install a standard outlet? And put a solar panel on top of each of those. Who and how people would pay I'm not sure, but unless we find something that burns a 100% clean, electric is the direction we should be headed. Every other alternative fuel source seems to deny us the simple solutions we are looking for which is a perfectly clean, domestic, sustainable solution! But the only BS we are getting fed is reccomendations from current, former, or future big oil executives. Hybrid Technology - doesn't free us from still using oil... Fuel cell technology- Hydrogen can be extracted from one of two possible sources, water (super inefficient) or OIL... YES OIL! Why is no one pushing in the RIGHT direction?... hmmmmm..... But every solution seems to incorporate the oil industry... Why?

The majority of appointed positions by the current Bush administration all have a shady Oil Company or Car Manufacturer somewhere on their resume! Now should I trust the UNelected official who after their term will return with BONUS I'm sure, to the disgusting employer they came from? Of course! ? ? ? ? NOT!!!!

WATCH "An Inconvenient Truth" after you watch "Who Killed the Electric Car?" and it will make your blood boil! Those who have seen both excellent documentaries know what I'm talking about. It seems that Ford and GM just Take with one hand and TAKE more with the other! Problem is the wussy media folds to the pressure and completes the hand is quicker than the eye act!!!

It's as simple as playing a board game.... think ironically Monopoly.... if you were to let one player change and make the rules as they go, who do you think will inevitably win!? So politics needs to be more like water and not mix with Big Oil or the Auto industry! The only losers are the helpless ones trying to play the game fair - US!
