Immigrants are one thing, but living on a patch of land that has been linked with the global distribution of cocaine is another...According to the Guardian, Brazilian Police are selling off goods that have been seized in drug busts across Brazil.
Probably the most notorious 'item' up for grabs is a luxury villa, which not only has it's own pool, great links to the infamous 'celebrity' hang-out the "Yacht Club' and views over Sao Paulo, it is also "...a small piece of one of the world's largest drug trafficking empires.'
I can think of a few celebrities who might actually favour having such good links with the 'underworld' to help them with their shopping...

you know we only hear about people of color that are living in the US illegally, but hardly hear about english or canadian "illegal alians." they aren't targeted by ICE or the media the way mexican "alians" are, funny, or just representative of our very real local, and global racial hierarchy system.
it was nice to learn about a white man experiencing the other end of that spectrum. i would love to see another pod exploring how white immigrants are treated similarly, or differently than people of color immigrants.

Great pod. I lived in Sao Paulo for 3 years, teaching English and working as a reporter. The film brought back some happy memories.

interesting pod, felt it only scratched the surface though.
It was ironic when he said he doesn't like borders as they are restrictive but the sad thing is he has restricted himself to staying in Brazil by being an illegal immigrant. once he leaves he can't go back. he seems happy enough with that though. -

cvazquezIt goes to show how divided we are as a race.
As the Ex. UN Secretary General Butrus Butrus Gali mentioned during the recent Kenyan election carnage . Showing the disparity between the death of a Caucasian anywhere in the world and any third world entity. We all know it boils down to money. But should the defining factor on the worth of a life be money...? -
Sorry but this video sucked. this wishy washy hippy has nothing to say at all to anyone. If the purpose of the vid is present life for a typical englishman in these circumstances you've been sold a pup. This man is singularly dislikable, smug and priggish. 'I like it here, it is nice, I can't go home. I can if I can if I want, but I don't want to...'
Who cares? really?
