The great world-famous pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim has taken Palestinian citizenship, hoping to serve as a model for peace between Israelis and Palestinians. This is an act of immense courage and integrity - he will doubtless be demonized and dehumanized by the Zionists of Israel for such an action. The article doesn't say if he lost or renounced his Israeli citizenship - my feeling is that he retained it and feels proud and honoured to have both nationalities.

Negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian authority began today, 1/14, in Jerusalem, though many are cautioning not to get their hopes up too high and to remain realistic in their goals.

Seeds of hope? If we left peace in the hands of the citizens we would have it. I commend him for this action.
