That is why the key to this is water. Both resistance and yield will be lost if we don't have water. I'm not sure where I stand on it either. If by strengthening resistance they mean adding genetically to it to make a franken food, I wouldn't be receptive to that. In the end it all comes down to population, education, moral will, and conservation.
