  • Inspiring story! It's good to see that the orphans' physical needs are being met (food, clothes, shelter). But it's great to see that this organization places special emphasis on emotional and psychological concerns, and art is a perfect avenue for children.

  • What a wonderful pod. I loved the candid interview with the two boys from the street near the end. I also really liked the detailed section about the girl who lost her father and is sad because she can't remember what his face looks like. I wanted to know more about Halo and more about the white woman in the piece, how she started working there, and yes, I'll go to the website to find out more. I thought the information was very good and the pod made me want to learn more about Halo without hitting me over the head with a plea for help. I also liked the mention of the current project Halo is doing, but I would have liked to see a little more movement in the piece, like following up on one of the orphans or one of the orphanage staff...more please!

  • WOW,

I love all the content that current plays. But you really hit home with this POD. Please continue to show PODs exhibiting what people around the world are doing for 'the least of these'!!!!

  • This pod, I hope will open the eyes and hearts of some wealthy Americans (you and me) to the need of these , "full of life" kids.
If you have ever been to a 3rd world country, you will find poverty, if you've been to a 3rd world orphanage you will find a wealth of love, thanks in part to our money and hard work.
I know a woman in Myanmar who has over 30 kids in one location, and more than that in another part of the country. She only has a few adult helpers here and there that take some of the burden, but through the support of caring hearts like yours and mine she has managed.
This pod needs some brothers and sisters, to truly depict the need, I wish I were able to contribute, but I won't be going over to Myanmar this year due to business constraints .
But I want to encourage any and all to get on board with this kind of effort, Jesus said," who ever has given to the least of these, has given to me"

  • There is a great organization that will use donations better than anyone I know. Food for Orphans feeds 250 hungry orphans with every $100 donated. Isn't that awesome!

  • Thank you all for your comments. Knowing that the pod reached so many people made all the difference. I am working on a few new projects which are starting to out pace my old G5. Every time I loose a file or the computer crashes, I think of your kind comments and remember its all worth it. As for HALO, they have countless new projects as the cost of food continues to sky rocket. The link above is to a piece the local news just did on an 8 year old kid who has raised $2,000 for HALO to help orphans in Uganda.

    Thanks again,

    Josh

  • wow that pod was incredibly touching. is there a HALO website that I can check out to donate to the orphanages?
  • It's really amazing that I have so much, and they have so little. Yet their smiles are awesome. I was so motivated, I went to the Food for Orphans website and made a donation. They are really making a huge difference and saving the lives of thousands of orphans.
Every $10 donated will provide 25 meals. AWESOME! I am giving $10 every month. Here is their website http://www.FoodforOrphans.org.
  • Thank you all for your kind comments and interest in HALO. Making this pod allowed me to meet these amazing kids in person and witnessing how donations benefit them directly. If you are interested, the HALO Foundation receives donations here. https://www.haloworldwide.org/donate.htm

HALO and this pod are not affiliated with FoodforOrphans.org

    Thanks, Josh Fry
