I do agree that high school dropout rates are high and something needs to be done. The government needs to consider individuals needs. I dropped out my junior year to take care of my mom before she died. I was not allowed to take a leave of absence because I myself was not sick. So I had to make a choice, not take care of my mom and suffer through school worrying about her or I could drop out and give her what she needed. My school was very supportive, they can give me any recommendations that I need and the fact that I personally didn't graduate will not be an issue for me. But this same type of thing could happen to another highschooler and nobody would know, that could mess up their entire future and it's not always that person's fault.
Don't get me wrong, some people are just lazy, lol. I'm just saying that that's not the case for everyone and that really needs to be considered by others.
