We need an education system that can teach students about Muslim culture if we are ever going to make progress toward resolving our conflicts.

Good job. I agree on the idea of mutual understanding being the groundwork for peace. I think most muslims are peacefull anyway and don't wish any harm on anyone, There is a small minority of extremists who misuse the Koran as a tool spread Jihad ideas to others.
So, yes I agree we need to step up and tell our side of the story. Mike -
sensible idea - dialogue, knowledge and understanding are the only way forward.
