After the Virginia Tech shootings I feel more strongly about gun control than ever.

Psycho people get guns with/without laws.
Before gun control there were less gun crime.

* New Jersey adopted what sponsors described as "the most stringent gun law" in the nation in 1966; two years later, the murder rate was up 46% and the reported robbery rate had nearly doubled.
* In 1968, Hawaii imposed a series of increasingly harsh measures, and its murder rate tripled from a low of 2.4 per 100,000 in 1968 to 7.2 by 1977.
* In 1976, Washington, D.C., enacted one of the most restrictive gun control laws in the nation. Since then, the city's murder rate has risen 134% while the national murder rate has dropped 2%.
The Verdict:
Tell criminals that the law abiding citizen will have a harder time defending against them and you've fed the wolves your flock.
Tell them that everyone they meet has a weapon, They won't even be able to look up. -
Do some research before you give your highly emotional opinion! There are MILLIONS of concealed weapons permit holders in this country that carry a firearm with them EVERYWHERE they go. I'll bet you cannot find one instance of a CCW permit holder drawing their weapon out of anger (unless its a cop) More concealed weapons equals less violent crime, it is statistical FACT! Please don't let your emotions cloud that clear judgment of yours.

All state universities in Utah allow students who are able to get Concealed Carry permits to carry them on campus. Not a single permit holder ever committed a crime, had psychological problems, discharged a shot inappropriately, or been intoxicated on them. More guns=less crime not the other way around. I also hate to break it to you sweetheart but the police have no legal obligation to protect you so what will you do when that policeman that you hoped would come to your rescue and he fails to? You or your family cannot sue them and believe me people have tried but the courts always rule in favor of the police. Gun control=tyranny. Do your history research and tell me I am wrong which will be hard to do because I have already done it. Otherwise keep living your sheep, narrow-minded existence doing what the government says and continue to be ignorant.

And that response just shows your plain ignorance and level of intelligence when you cannot even make a dignified response. You sound like a 5 year old with that generalization. You are no better than the close-minded member of the KKK who hates other races because of their skin color. I also laugh at the fact you hate the inanimate object and not the criminal who uses it because you know without the human it's just another object. Just remember that the only reason our government has not gone total fascist on us is yet and taken away all of our civil rights is because WE have the guns. Law-abiding people with guns=citizens, law-abiding people without guns=peasants, and the government and criminals with all the guns=tyranny. There are already 20,000+ gun laws out there and not one has prevented a mass-murderer from his deed. You hate guns? Fine. But you have no right to infringe upon my natural, human right to defend myself with whatever I feel like.
