The woman who moved the Rams out of LA passed away Friday, apparently from breast cancer. Controversy surrounded her ownership of the Rams and the move to St Louis, so I'm told by a long-time original (LA) Rams fan. But she was the first woman to accept the Lombardi trophy.

Her legacy other than taking the Rams from away from a city that didn't care about their Rams (L.A.) probably was bringing them to a city that got to embrace that Super Bowl win with Dick Vermiel.
That and probably the fact that that owner from the "Major League" movies was entirely based on her.
The city of St. Louis should be in her debt. -
LA stopped caring when the team moved to Anaheim.
Weird side note: she aquired a very old and beat up Joe Namath for the Rams for four games in 1977 to try and spike attendance, and allegedly to sleep with him. Oooh.
She also was rumored to have slept with her other QB in the 70's, Vince Ferragamo.-
