John Edwards at L.A. rally this past Thursday speaks about investing in clean energy and addressing poverty. And from the pictures I saw of this rally there is no way I believe the polls and percentages spewed by this media.

Saying something is easier than actually doing something....meaning he can say all he wants but it is the actions that MATTER!!!
*Pure TRUTH*True PEACE*Total LOVE/UNDERSTANDING* -
At least he is stating it. Judging from his past behavior he means it.

At least in this area Edwards is right on track. Our government should be leading the way in renewable energy technology, not drug along kicking and screaming.
-
Definitely and he walks the talk.
Great speach. -
Angelique: yes, actions matter, so what have you done to make this planet more sustainable? I think John Edwards would try to do what he says if he gets the chance, but he has a powerful lobby standing in his way... Maybe if we help push that lobby out of the way by our own actions it will happen.

He's going to HELP those who need HELP and stop screwing them like EVERYONE else has. Yes, it's going to be difficult because nothing is easy. But I like John Edwards because he's FOR the majority of Americans. This is not as rich a country as everyone believes. There are so many people living in poverty that need the tax cuts and healthcare. You think Obama or Clinton are gonna give them healthcare? Not if the lobbyists funding their campaigns have a say...and looking at the amounts of $$$, they have a pretty big say. I honestly believe in John Edwards. And I believe that he's in it FOR the people. It's more than about time the rest of this country gets something their deserve. And for you people who are tired of the mill story...I'm not. Maybe you're tired of it because you never lived it. If you knew have of what it was like to watch your parents struggle and then had an opportunity to alleviate that for so many other people...I'd make sure they ALL understood that I've been there and I don't want to go back and I don't want you to be there.

One hijacked plane into a nuclear power plant and we will fully understand that John Edwards was right. We can't afford them. They took the electric cars back and smashed them. Because the powers that be have all that oil they need to sell. So what if we are destroying the planet. John Edwards understands that and doesn't depend on the oil industry for his campaign money. He would work for the people and do what is right for the world. He has a better idea. Clinton is the same old stuff. Oprah likes Obama and that's nice. What is his platform?

Imagine a house with solar panels on the roof, or a windmill in the backyard generating it's own power. Think about an electric car in the garage. Wow, clean air and no need to send our young people off to fight a war for oil.

Absolutely, Marilyn. Imagine us being able to sell back electricity to a grid to save us money...to be able to supply our energy off the grid if we so choose... to be able to have that windmill in our yard, or those solar panels on our home without one life lost and with people actually having jobs that are not outsourced which brings more prosperity for our country, and peace and a sustainable planet for our children. Now that is a vision worth having and realizing.

JanforGore: you ask "so what have you done to make this planet more sustainable?" My response: I speak the truth & show those who truely want 2 know how 2 live in TRUTH how 2 do so...There isn't much I can do w/out money(system of control)...If money wasn't the necessity & only will was needed...I would be able 2 make a difference...But, I was brought in2 this world, in poverty. So lack of money 2 "purchase" these "help the world" Items make it hard 4 me 2 do nething...But John Edwards does have money...that is the point I make........I mean, I would go out in the woods & live souly off the land..but in order 2 have food like vegies 4 example I have 2 "purchase" seeds....so I'm still stuck in the SYSTEM OF CONTROL...no matter what way I go...THAT IS WHERE THE WORLD HAS MESSED UP...money/GREED is what makes the world go 'round....so NOT GOOD!!! *Pure TRUTH*True PEACE*Total LOVE/UNDERSTANDING*<---Should be what makes the world go 'round(NO MONEY!)

Angelique, There are lots of things you can do without money to improve the world around you. Doesn't cost a dime to pick up trash alongside the road. I applied for and recieved six hundred comuters for my kids school district. I upgraded and programmed them. I only invested my time and effort. Poverty is not a valid excuse. BTW dont try planting your seeds in the woods. You need water and sunshine. You can't eat love, understanding or truth.

Like I said before, I made up my mind to whom to vote already and I think John Edwards is the best candidate for the Job.
-
Edwards said he will stay for the long haul, so I intend to support him for the long haul. John Edwards is the best candidate for the Job.

I want to vote for Kucinich so badly. To prove myself wrong about voting based on electability. But might he be edwards nadar?
-
futurist, I wish you would vote for Edwards. But if I was you I'd vote for the one I want to win. Even if you don't think he will win. "It hurts to say that."
