Violence continues in Kenya

Gunmen in a west Kenyan village have killed five people. This violence is said to be connected to the recent electoral controversy.

"Police and government sources said the victims of the raid were villagers from tribes which overwhelmingly voted for incumbent President Mwai Kibaki in last month's election, which the opposition says was rigged.

Since Mr Kibaki was declared the winner of the December 30 poll despite mounting evidence of flaws in the ballot, Kenya has witnessed a surge in ethnic violence. "
