Fallen Fruit is an activist art project that promotes the concept of "Public Fruit" by mapping all of the public fruit in local neighborhood communities. Public fruit is defined as all fruit that is hanging on or over public spaces such as sidewalks, streets or parking lots. The group encourages everyone to harvest, plant and eat public fruit to advocate what can and should be a commonly shared resource. The goal of Fallen Fruit is tol get people thinking about the life and vitality of our neighborhoods and to consider how we can change the dynamics of our cities and common values. Fallen Fruit has also moved from mapping public fruit resources to planting fruit parks in under-utilized neighborhoods.

The funny thing is that I was there when they filmed this yet don't remember seeing any cameras. hmmmmmm
Going on this "forage" gave me an entire greater appreciation for my neighborhood and Los Angeles as a whole. What other metropolitan city out there offers such a wide variety of edible plants year round?? (I'm curious to know) -
