A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.
The study concluded that the statements "were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses."

What is unsettling about this report is the sheer magnitude of the lies: check out these stats - Bush, 259 false statements (231 about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and 28 about Iraq's links to al-Qaida); Colin Powell, 244 false statements about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and 10 about Iraq and al-Qaida.
Also named and shamed were Vice President Dick Cheney, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz and White House press secretaries Ari Fleischer and Scott McClellan. No surprises there then. I have no doubt they'll get away with it.-

I'm not suprised. Not one bit. Whats annoying is that we only pay attention to people other than ourselves. Why can't we use our own sound judgement and be confident in it?

Not surprising, but angering.
Thats a GREAT pic of the head bastard. He actually looks like most presidents do in their second term, SCARED SHITLESS! He usually has this awful shit-eating grin that makes me want to punch him in the junk. -
935 false statements that led to war. All here for your browsing and weeping (dis)pleasure.

In the 70's, I never would've believed we'd have a bigger liar than Nixon in my lifetime. Then came Reagan. Then, Bushes Sr. and Jr.
This is the world's longest nightmare and we want to WAKE UP! -
*yawn* what else is new? really, how is it he still hasn't been impeached?! Do we need another Monica Lewinsky for that to happen?

Our country has been taken over and / or manipulated by people with third world mentality attempting to usurp America's founding principals, morality and beliefs.
These are scum who are drawn to America's wealth, resourcefulness, power and inherent strengths, but come here or are born here and seek to exploit and destroy it for their own purposes and / or personal gain.
Some people create, some destroy. Some give, some take. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out where Bushenney falls, but we must include lobbyists and lobby groups who place other countries interests first or above the needs and concerns of Americans and the United States.
In my former profession it's very clear how some people are destroyers, it's no different in any other profession, walk of life, social or economic group. These people are universal and should not be allowed to hold positions of power, elected office or influence as they will most certainly wreck havoc on society and it's people.-

I can't even imagine what would happen to me if I made 257 false statements to my employer. Actually I can, I'd be out on my can. Imagine if one of the large drug companies made 935 false statements about one of its products. Or an automobile manufacture making 935 false statements.
Where is the public outrage? We need to stop following blindly. We need to use reason as a guiding principal to hold our leaders accountable for their actions. The weight of their statements is heavier because of their position so when they tell us something less than truthful we need to react and take action! -
Sylvie1986, They already had a Monica moment. A male prostitute (Jeff Gannon) visited the White House more than one hundred times. They refuse to answer questions about that. Lies are no problem for them, they just don't admit them when confronted. Looks like Bush is back on the sauce, with that red nose and red cheeks?

According to Zeitgeistmovie.com, the Bush Administration 's rabbit hole goes farther down than Iraq. Watch this and hear something you never will on TV.
Was 9/11 an inside job?-

Clinton didn't want to admit publicly he had "sexual relations" with Monica and so was impeached for what was a personal, private issue between him, his family and Monica.
Bushenney on the other hand, has lied repeatedly about very serious and real issues affecting Americans and the United Stated States. Bushenney and the blind herd instincts of brainwashed Ripusoffican's who've supported their efforts and thwarted the Democrats we elected to take over Congress far surpass the private issue turned public of Clinton.-

That "Inside Job" notion has been bouncing around the internet for quite a long time now. If there were proof, Bush and his kind would be monsters of a description beyond all words and make the United States look more hypocritical and hateful than ever to the rest of the world.

This pretty much says it all.

Marylin_Murray, I hadn't heard of that male prostitute before. See, why don't the media make a big deal about that like they did with Clinton and Lewinsky? Hush money maybe? Either way, I think driving a country to war through lies is much more deserving of impeachment than a sex scandal.

Sylvie1986, You're right. The media isn't going to report either. Keep watching, things may heat up in the next week. I think Kucinich is going to file impeachment papers against Bush. A rare honest man.

Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL) did. He compiled nearly 200,000 signatures and spoke on the floor about how ridiculous it is that people are more interested in impeaching someone for sexual relations as opposed to national security [amongst many others] issues.
-
I mean impeachment for Bush himself.

Kucinich, we may owe him a lot - we may already just for coming this far with it.
Edwards? Obama? Kucinich?
How does one evaluate each to make a determination as to which would be the best President?
I didn't intentionally leave Hillary out of the list, at the moment, I am not considering her.-

Well, I've researched them all Clinton and Obama are very much alike. Corporate media chose them as our candidates. I believe because they don't think they can win the general election. Against McCain they won't according to the polls. Edwards and Kucinich are very much alike. Kucinich seems to be a little more Liberal than Edwards. We would be in high clover with either one. Edwards has a slim chance winning the nomination. Kucinich has almost none. Personally I'd love to see an Edwards, Kucinich ticket. I don't intend to vote for Clinton ever. I have serious doubts that I would vote for Obama. If they end up as the Democratic candidate there will be a lot of us sitting home on election day. I won't vote for a Republican not even a Democratic Republican.
