Heath Ledger, whose role as a gay cowboy in the film Brokeback Mountain led to an Academy Award nominaton, was found dead Tuesday in his New York apartment. He was superb in his portrayal of an emotionally stifled ranch hand with a broken heart, a tragic story of repression and the unsaid. That is easier said than done.
