Oh Dana Jacobsen, I thought it was funny but that just doesn't work well with corporate higher ups with no sense of humor. AKA ESPN suits. They'll probably just drag this out on their multiple channels and make sure that everyone knows that Dana said this awful (actually funny) line or two at a ROAST.

Ridiculous!? Read the article and let me know...

  • I'm sure the protest has much more to do with her saying, Fcku Jesus (simpliciter), as opposed to, "Fcku Touchdown Jesus."

As far as jokes go, though, I must say, it wasnt funny...or only as funny as any, Fukc (insert revered figure here), joke.

Oh yeah, one more thing, fkuc her.

  • So now our jobs have control in our social lives! Are you kidding me?!?! So what if she said that! She was off the clock right? She didn't say it on air during a live broadcast. As a matter of fact how many people would have even known she said this if it wasn't blown out of proportion? I really can't believe that in this day and age we allow corps (and gov & religion) to have so much control. I'm a web developer for a university, and I love where I work and the ppl I work with, but I'll be damned if they ever attempt to address anything I do socially, off the clock, when it has no effect on what I do at work and my performance.

  • I spoke with Jesus, she's going to hell. Unless she repents, then she's square. what a flawed way of thinking.

  • I was reading some of the responses from Christians on the ESPN website and oh my, what language they use! Shame on you Christians for using such language, tsk tsk.

What happened to turn the other cheek?

You know I have very rarely seen that actually practiced in reality. They only pay lip service to that.

Turn the other cheek was supposed to take the place of "an eye for an eye".

  • Like the rest of us she probably wasn't using her Civil Liberties anyway. Let GW and his buddies have them. In this manner we'll all be afraid to say anything and there will be no such overly extreme severe and outrageous comments made like this. Ones that might hurt even just one persons feelings. Fear and guilt are the way to go.

We should all go to jail for life for voicing any opinions. We have no right nor need to question gov or the corporations that run our country. They truly know what's best for us. We must trust them. We need a more militant gov to instruct us in all ways.

Thomas Jefferson saying we have the right to bare arms because the gov will try to take over every twenty years and we are to turn our weapons on them to insure our rights is rediculous. What did he know? Corporate Gov takeover? It's really a great thing!

Trust the gov and Jesus. After all Jesus told GW he was meant to rule the world. I know it's true because GW said it and he and Jesus talk to each other all the time.

Jesus won't talk to me because I am not high enough up in gov. However in the year 3666 we will all be equal and Jesus will talk to us all then we won't disagree. Just give big gov more time to straighten it out, kill off those Jesus tells them to. Including Americans.

Why Civil Liberties came to be or are even needed today is simply out dated. Jesus rules thru GW. Trust him and shut everyone up.

Praise the lord, trust GW, pass the ammunition to him, and lets kill everyone who's wrong. That's the Jesus way.

But before I freely give my rights up along with you... Which we're not using anyway... Fcku corporate media, Jesus, and all organized fear and guilt based religions!

  • Even though I despise violence and guns, I exercise my rights under the second amendment. At present I own a 380 pistol with a 7 bullet clip, a 12 gage shotgun, and a 22 rifle.

I plan on purchasing a few more and plenty of ammunition.

Who knows we may have to take Jefferson's advice some day.

  • wow, you guys are going kind of crazy there. ESPN's a private company and they can do what they want, but I bet it's a bunch of whiny-ass Notre Dame fans that are behind this.

On second thought, no you guys aren't nuts... Take up arms against Notre Dame! Shoot Lou Holtz! Desecrate the grave of Dan Devine! Do it in the name of SAAAATTTTTTAAAAANNNN!!!!!

  • If the ESPN big wigs aren't offended by Dana Jacobsen's lackluster preformance on the ill-fated Cold Pizza, er First Take, then why should they be bothered by an innocuous comment about the world's second-largest religion? Oh and Sage Steele is proof that even the purest of Stainless Steels are completely corroded.

The once proud network has become a shadow of itself and its shameful practice of hiring "talent?" based on their gender/race (see Rachel Nichols/Kirk Gimenez/Colleen Dominguez/Robert Flores/Kevin Negandhi) is dissolving any credibility established by real journalist like Bob Ley and Dick Schaap.

Dana got what she deserved. When an ignorant person makes ignorant comments in a public forum they should expect to be reprimanded.
