People be getting wicked serious about their Rock Band! It's like a Battle of the Rock Band Bands. I wonder if the pro-gaming circuit will start having competitions for boat loads of cash. if so, who wants to join my "Rock Band"?
From the article...
Bar nights devoted to music games are popping up from Brooklyn to the Bay Area. "Guitar Hero" Night at the Living Room Lounge brought in 60 people on Sunday nights, estimates Darce Grillo, the bartender's son; with "Rock Band," it's about 80.
Arshan Sadri, a restaurant worker, slips into a showbiz alter ego as soon as he straps on the stringless guitar replica, urging three strangers to join hands and yell, "Let's go, band!"
"You're forming a fake band -- that's what you do," says Sadri, calling the game "the best part of karaoke, adding in a drummer and guitars."

I HEART Rock Band. I could play it all day. I even made special drummer gloves. I even have blisters from my San Francisco tour. The sacrifices I make for my craft.
-
If folks invested as much time and effort into playing real instruments...well...there'd be a lot more crappy bands.
Carry on. -
I have been successful in avoiding the new generation video games. I friggen lost my mind years ago during Assians, Silent Hill, and all Final Fantasy games till I graduated college. I wanted my life back. Of course I still have dreams of me killing all that come my way when I am my alter ego "Panda" in Tekkan.. I still phantom thumb the secret combo for the lethal panda hug.
I agree, it would be way cooler if you learned the actual instrument. Boys, that is for sure a panty dropper in my book. -
so fake and true, i would hate to see what the aliens think about it.
they might constipate,
we got to stop it!!! -
don't worry phukna, it's just a fad. Any day now people will begin playing giant centuries-old wooden instruments in droves...

Just pick up a Frisbee and go outside. "Game Over".
