In Mexico City sexual harassment, on the packed public buses, has gotten so bad that the city has rolled out "ladies only" buses.

Now when the men inadvertently get on the ladies' buses (complete with pink signs) they get a taste of their own medicine.

  • This is a good new for mexico city and the women that live in it. Unfortunately the way you portrayed the new is so vulgar and decadent.
This measure was made for safety reasons beyond of the expression "because things has gotten so bad" . I am sure things has not gotten so bad or worse they are the same and even more they are getting better this measure it is an excellent example of it. An by the way men are banned from these buses, so it is quite unlikely that they ever get a taste of such medicine, since the buses are also regulated in such way only women are allowed.

And yes I am a mexican women.

  • They have the same thing Tokyo. During rush hour "traffic" on the subway system, they have "Women only" cars cuz they get so packed that it's very easy for men to violate women.

Perhaps before criticizing, you should actually read the article?

"When a man mistakenly climbed aboard, the women immediately began teasing him and shouting that he should read the "ladies only" sign.

"He's a gentleman! He should get off," shouted Yolanda Altamirano, a 64-year-old office janitor.

The man blushed and mumbled an apology, then ignored the taunts until he got off several stops later.

"Now he knows how women feel," Altamirano said, unapologetic for giving him a hard time."

  • This doesn't surprise me. Mexican men often are taught and raised to think that they are natural born leaders and to be very dominant. This is safe for me to say considering the fact that I'm 1/2 Mexican and over 75% of the people I know are also Mexican.
