Are you sure it's not Enron? Or Exxon Mobil? Or Shell, Halliburton, or BP?
Somehow....I just don't believe you.-

uhhh...i'm pretty sure the gas companies are just pumping / refining it...poshspice and bend it boy are burning it all up. right??

I think they're saying that his is the biggest individual contribution. It's pretty ridiculous that he -- and anyone who lives in the lap of luxury and flying farther than the equivalent distance between earth and the moon -- continue to live the way they do. They should be given carbon tax just like the big oil and gas companies.
How big is your footprint? http://www.carbonfootprint.com/calculator.aspx -
I think it is a pretty ridiculous claim. I see no proof of Beckham being a plague to humanity.

follow the link people. For christsake. smorrisey did not just make up random numbers and throw futbol's #1 douchebag in there just to be inflammatory.
Fucks-n-a people...sources.
xDan, we are glad that your very important opinion is that Beckham is okay. Without you, where would we get our standards and norms. Do you hang out with futbol douche? Are you tight with him and whorey-spice? Do you get the box seats for the Galaxy games? That's the ridiculous.-

On the issue of sources:
The author Stone Martindale. Looks like he's just a contributing freelance writer on a few blogs. He seems to focus on celebrity culture. For all we know he is a Manchester fan with a chip on his shoulder.
Secondly, Carbon Trust is a private company in Great Britain that receives funding from Government. They don't really have any verifiable sources for their info. Heck, Beckham doesn't show up on their website with a search.
Speculating about a once great football player's carbon footprint isn't going to save the world. Just be glad we all don't have the money to jet set around the world. If we did, we'd probably be doing it too.
