I live in Las Vegas and I am watching it right now. As for how it started, no one yet knows. The fire has closed down all of Las Vegas Blvd (The strip), the I-15, and several other hotels. People are stopping their cars in the middle of the road to take photographs. It has been burning since approximately 11AM. Las Vegas has not seen a hotel fire of this magnitude since the original MGM hotel burned down long ago.
