Roleplaying is a fun inexpensive hobby that allows for socialization.
Physical activity requirements are low, so it is wonderful for someone like myself who is physically disabled.
Most people roleplay all the time, they just don't realize that they are doing it. Roleplaying is taking the base story that another person tells and then adding your own flavor to the story.
People from all walks of life can roleplay. Age, color, sex, disability, and sexual preference are no barrier to roleplaying. People who game are usually very inclusive and accepting people.
It is enjoyable to play if you are not the most brilliant of people the most brilliant of people, and of average intelligence. Often the best roleplaying groups have a wide spectrum of players.
Roleplaying helps with people with their self confidence, self acceptance, and strategic planning.
Roleplaying is wonderful for relieving stress. There is nothing like picturing your irritating boss's, teacher's, or co-worker's face on the villian's face as you take him/her down. Works great for projects that aren't going well too.
