  • Thought-provoking little article on women's rights and whether we use what we have been fighting for. The original thread is screaming out for more points of views and debate!

  • This is a good pod. The topic is interesting and new to members like me. I think that point she hits best is "The president is not important, the people are important". I find this to be a very true statement. I think this pod would be better if it gave further explanation on why women do not run to run for politics.

  • Nice pod! The character is straight forward and her story is very inspiring even to women in the US who have more rights than they can ask for. Beautiful BRoll too!
  • I love ittt!

  • I agree with mischabarrett. I think that we would all benefit from some background on why women are not allowed in politics. It doesn't have to be a lot, just a small, but informative snipit that doesn't take away from the piece. Also, excellent video response Spiral 9! I am looking forward to see what you want to do in Bangladesh! I definitely want to be a part of it!

  • This pod was awesome. I'm all about women's rights ...and it is International Women's Day, so I had to comment on this video. Sabrina would serve as a great role model for young girls, especially in patriarchal societies. She is a prime example of a woman who is fighting for what is right. I love the fact that she is so focused on improving life for the Afghani youth, and this will eventually affect future generations.

I liked the questions she was asked about the burkha. Too often journalists talk about what they think are the reasons why women wear them, and it was a first person account. It's always better to hear it straight out of someone's mouth, not from a reporter or talking head.

  • Very good and interesting pod, not only does it help us capture the struggle of women, Afghani people, but also the struggle of the young people and how much they have been affected for so many years due to war. I also like the fact that she pointed out that the president was not important, but the people are.
