So, I missed an earlier deadline 8( But I'm trying to get this piece on Suffrage completed! The finished film should take a look at a few Rochester, NY minorities and women that choose not to vote. I condensed one of the interviews down into a 5 1/2 min piece. Feel free to let me know what should be cut out- (I haven't edited the audio or color corrected yet)

  • 'I don't have time for democracy, because I am busy tidying the house'. (Well that was *basically* the gist of it). Well, that's alright then. And hey, don't worry about the kind of world your kids are actually gonna have to deal with when they're your age, thanks to your bone-headed complacency. I can't even begin to explain how angry this person makes me feel. I mean people threw themselves under *horses* for this person to have suffrage. Thanks so much for making this pod though - and for sating my curiosity about those faceless statistics who don't vote.

  • Wow, that's some pretty daunting odds in terms of character limitations. If most people have half the fear that she does, then they're at least half as likely when asked to imply they might vote. Even two or three names in the race and one or two headlines, makes this a reading test and a competency test. Where are the least literate and competent regions? Unfortunately the same regions that are growing in this 10 year long term slowdown of the wage growth.

    Reaganomics run amok.
  • One of the problems I'm having was that in order to get people to be open and honest and actually talk to me was that I had to get friends or friends of friends. This was how the pod started, I was frustrated with some friends.
Having said that I want to show the mindset of the non-voter because they are half of the population (although many are in the closet).
I don't want to make them look too bad, because they are Friends and trusting enough to open up to me!

  • It's an interesting topic, but I would like to see more broll of her rather than an all interview. A little more action would make it interesting.
