after this weekend, everyone (former vice presidents, Rambo, Sanjaya) needs to start getting on board..or at least endorsing a major candidate...nevermind rambo...already lost him..

..i tink we've had plenty of time to get to know all the players -
Well, he has to win the "election" first. That is, if he is even the nominee. I think it is amazing how people are already calling this. But I'm sure that if/ when John Edwards is president he would find a nice place for Obama too.

Well said, JanforGore: Obama has to win both the primary election and the general election first. It seems like a potentially effective political strategy on the part of Obama, though, to float the idea that he would name Edwards attorney general. (Very generous of him.) Perhaps the Obama camp is thinking that such a rumor would give wavering Edwards supporters a reason to back Obama at this early stage with the expectation that Edwards will be rewarded down the road with the attorney general's post. Perhaps Obama's people are calculating that many democratic voters have already bought into the notion that this is a two-person race and that "something" for Edwards would be better than "nothing." There are, however, too many "ifs" in this scenario for my taste, and I think that we should just wait and see who has the most delegates at the end of the day. In the meantime, I'm still voting for John Edwards.

Obama would be lucky if John Edwards was AG. However, my only worry is if he'll let Edwards have free rein to go after the Bush administration, corporations, etc.? I fear he won't since it won't go well with his "unity" theme.
@smorrisey,
Dude, she's the first serious woman presidential candidate and you're using a *gendered* caricature? What the hell? It's 2008, not 1908. If you blasted Condi Rice--a major player in the Iraq invasion--with a racial caricature, you'd rightfully be condemned for such bigoted shit.
Next time, epitomize the "hope" and "change" Obama speaks of instead of demonizing another. Good Lord.-

I can't even begin to express how wonderful the prospect of an Obama presidency with Edwards as attorney general would be. I concede that all three Dems share similar policy positions, but feel Obama's approach will be significantly more effective than Hillary's. I don't believe it is a "fairytale" or even simple idealism. I believe Obama can bring this nation together in a way that no other politician in my life has be able. With Edwards as the top watch dog, corporate villians will be shaking. Maybe Obama can bring in Joe Biden or Colin Powell to be Secretary of State. My point simply being, as a political independent, that these men can help heal America domestically and repair America's reputation internationally. If not, Stewart and Colbert will get my write-in vote.

I'm so excited! Obama is my numero uno... Edwards is probably my second or third choice. If this is true, we get the best of both worlds.
