Everybody fights... that's probably why you're getting a divorce in the first place. But there is stuff you can do to make it more friendly - and this stuff is worth a shot.

I like this. Divorce is a fact of life (see The World Clock!), and it doesn't have to be grisly.

I agree completely that a divorce can be friendly. I work for www.firstwivesworld.com, it's an online community for women in all stages of divorce. We have a lot of memebers and many experts on our page and hearing their divorce stories gives you a completely new perspective. I had been of the opinion that a divorce was something that had inherent negativity between both parties, and boy was I wrong. Many of the women are still friends with their ex-husbands. Our divorce expert interviewed actress Kathleen Turner's ex-husband Jay Weiss and he said they are still very much friends after a 21 year marriage. We also have a video blogger that is seperated from her husband for cultural and religious reasons mainly and the still very much love each other, so it is an amazing thing to learn. You can check out Sarah's video blog or the interview with Jay Weiss on our website or youtube.
Just my two cents.
