Yes, I do believe that rich nations are responsible for the environmental degredation of poor countries. This is no secret! We only need to look in our backyard to realize the damage caused by American corporations in Mexico. I hope that this study reaches alot more people, it is very important that we understand our impact in the world. Of course this study isn't limited to just the US, but it is important that we take a look at ourselves.

I agree. What we do affects the world and vice versa. More need to understand that. That is why in any new climate treaty proposed, rich countries will have to come around to seeing what they have done to preciptate what poor countries are now experiencing due to climate change as it is also precipitating global poverty. This truly is a moral issue.

rich nations are the ones who consume all the crap that china manufactures, thereby causing all the air and water pollution that is caused from production. local economies need to be encouraged everywhere and those in wealthier countries need to realize what is truly important and stop being so materialistic.

Hell yeah, I totally agree, but here in America the only countries we give alot of money to are the one that give us oil.
