Steve, a boxing veteran, waxes poetic about eyeball surgeries, broken jaws, and the discipline of the mind.

Great job tiffany, do you work for "his story films?." I like the variations of shots, from close, medium, and long shots. It was a good idea to place some props around the interviewee. Perhaps a bit more fill light would do, but I have no idea what equipment you have. I don't have a lighting kit, but it would be nice to be able to light up any stage any where hey? Also, nice job on the editing, it flows well, pretty seamless.

I, Tiffany Israel, can't take sole credit for this pod, I had a partner on this one. Emily Ray who did a great job but for some reason was not given her due credits, I.E. her picture in the middle and end of the pod.
So Kudos to her.-

What a beautifully shot Pod! I really thought your visuals and sequences were well shot, well lit/nice use of natural light, and wonderfully composed – I like how you shot the action tight and let elements move in and out of the frame. It was interesting to hear the main character’s story – what a life! Good job finding such a knowledgeable guy giving back to the youth in his neighborhood. I would have enjoyed hearing from some of the kids featured in the B-roll training at the gym to learn why they like boxing, and how they landed at this gym in particular. It would have been especially nice to hear Oscar’s story from his own mouth. But I really enjoyed the Pod – Well done!

The cut aways are great here! Really good story about passion for something without needing all the attention for it. Great work!

This pod was put together really well. I especially like the tight, intimate shots. The close-ups of the boxers' faces or of the gloves pounding into the bag spoke a lot more to the intensity and personal elements of the sport than wider shots would have. I also like how the pod is bookended with music but is naked except NAT sound in the middle. The music gives a nice "hello" and "goodbye" to the piece and it couldn't have done that if it was throughout the piece. Steve is an interesting, although not incredible, character. It does come across how much he loves boxing and why both through what he says and the b-roll. Good pod.

Poetic is so appropriate. What a beautiful pod! Thank you Tiffany, Emily, Steve and the gym boxers.
Great content, great camera work, great music, great communication. As we say in Ireland- "Brilliant!" I was very involved in two other boxing pods- "The Boxer" and "Shadow Boxer", done by another brilliant artist-Sandi Bachom -
the cutaways ARE really great. why no interview with Oscar? it would have been nice to get to know him, and learn a little bit more about why people go into this sport given the danger. but the movement throughout the pod was awesome, great job.
