"The Meanest of Times"......great new album, everybody go get it.....now.

These guys walked into my record shop back in 1998. I was hooked on them every since. Everytime they come to town they phone me and we have a blast.

One of the few bands whose three core members have stayed for years (yes, they used to have a singer before Al; but, Al, Ken and Matt have been in it for nearly a decade.

My paramedic partner turned me on to DKM. I'm a 48 year old mom of 3, and my kids have some milder interests, but my 17 year old would get turned on if I can get to a concert. I live in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and I would love to see a DKM concert up here. HINT HINT

These guys have been around the Boston scene for years, it's great to see them finally getting some greater recognition.

Way to score some great interviews - you really get a sense of their personality and the mentality of the band. Great anecdotes too! Loved the varying angles you used for the interview shots, and their music playing in the background (thanks for using something besides "I'm Shipping Up to Boston"). Good ending too... with the crowd cheering and the tour bus pulling away. Great pod!

Finally got to see them in Kansas City last year. I'd been following them for years, but my schedule never worked out with theirs. Can't wait 'til next time.

Been a big fan of DKM for awhile now, also hoping the mainstream crowd will embrace a few more songs beyond "Shippin'"....I loved the transitions between shots in this pod. Using black and white segments to change between slightly wider and narrower shots during interviews and going in and out of concert footage using the backlighting and flashes of spotlight was awesome. What could have been a glorified music video definitely stepped up to the next level. Congrats!

yeah, bring it on...i've been there on the stage as part of the invasion for skinhead on the MBTA.

also - cheers Joe for the swinging utters myspace - mentioned them the other day when i heard the DKM piece was coming...caught them in SF in some lowly dive at the top of haight back in (ouch) '95. sadly the dive is gone.

As anyone who has been to a DKM concert knows, from the first note of "Foggy Dew" to the last squawk of feedback before they exit the stage, these guys rock like no one else does these days. In this age of stage production and special effects, these guys still deliver what we go to rock concerts for; pure, raw, unadulterated kick-ass energy!

love this pod! dropkick murphys kick ass! another great band is floggin molly. current should do a pod on them too, because they have a great story behind their songs.
