God is a blogger, apparently

Religion has been around for years, and I guess it'd be fair to say some people find the idea of religion a bit 'old' and dare I say it, dated.

Well, for these forward-thinking individuals, a group of web-savvy youths have teamed up to bring you a blog like no other, a bog written by the one and only, God (or a combination of bloggers claiming to be acting on his behalf)

They take a pretty light-hearted view on who they are claiming to be, with an alleged 'statement' from Jesus explaining "Once you get past the whole crucifixion thing, being Jewish AND the Christian Messiah is a sweet deal!"

Is this one parody too far? It's not all words straight from 'God' but I still think in this is in a politically correct minefield.

  • Isn't that blasphemous for someone to imply that he/she is God? I'm not sure this group realizes that their message is already contradictory and an affront to God.

  • it makes sense that God would use the technology of the day to communicate to His children. 5000 years ago, all He had was flammable scrubby plants, 20 years ago he had graduated to roadside billboards & now He has the Internet...

  • Wow, I just checked out the site and it made me puke a little. I cannot believe someone who claims to be God fearing, spiritual, or wishes to share the love of God with others would create such a sacreligious website...

  • Wow i didn't know that god was such an ass... lol no offense to the real G O D, if there is one or w/e. you know what i mean.
  • Political Correctness is a new religion/ religious mindset.
In some ways, it's pretty medieval - strict rules and regs, complete with persecution and isolation if any of those rules are broken...unless you repent, of course.
Even then, you're kind of screwed, marked with a scarlet Whatever.
PC has its place, to be sure, but it shouldn't dictate how people sneeze or think or fart. That path leads to damnation (!!!!). As well as blind zealotry.
There are plenty of times that I'm glad when people ignore it.

I'll assume this is one of them,
since I don't believe in Giant Brains Made of Space Dust.
Whatever the blogger's intentions, he has just as much a right to say his piece as I have a right to say what I just said.
If he's perverting the supposed message of Biblegod unintentionally, then it's a matter between him and other Christians.
    If not, then...get over it.
