As a result of the recent murder of a pregnant U.S. Marine in my home state of North Carolina, I can't help but feel some very deep concerns about Mexico's unwillingness to aid in her accused killer's capture. According to authorities, a warrant has been issued for Marine Corporal Cesar Laurean in connection with the murder of US Marine Maria Latebauch. Now it's being rumored that he fled to Mexico where he has family, and is also aware that Mexican authorities would not allow him to be extradicted if he were to face the death penalty. Since when does a foreign government have the gall to dictate what our judicial protocols should be, in clear violation of America's sovereignty? This is not the only time that the Mexican government has interfered with our laws concerning the capture and prosecution of accused murderers, it's just the latest. It has become common knowledge amongst the criminal element of illegals, that if you kill someone, go back to Mexico where U.S. authorities can't touch you, and as a result, many have. Maybe its time for our elected officials to remind Mexican authorities that the refusal to cooperate with us in accordance with U.S. laws and statutes makes them an accessory to that crime, in this case the gross murder of a pregnant Marine and her unborn child, and such uncooperative attitudes demand the accountability of those responsible within the Mexican government. In the meantime, families across America still suffer the loss of loved one's who've not only been murdered physically, but now are being disgraced by both an unwilling and weak Federal government here at home, and also spat upon by the arrogance of a second rate foreign government as well!
