Yes We Can = Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You?

Love him or leave him, there is no denying that if Obama goes all the way, his speech, "Yes We Can" will go down as one of the greats. Perhaps up there with the "Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You" Kennedy speech or maybe even Martin Luther King's speech "I have a dream" (well that is probably going too far). Only time will tell but it will be interesting to see if Obama can deliver or if he disappoints. Sadly, if Obama does deliver the goods I only hope he is spared the ending of the above two instigators of change in American politics.

  • Well, at least we can try. Obama is the most inspirational politician since, JFK? Houston, we have a problem!

    It is ironic to me that a vote for Obama or Hillary seems like a vote for "the man."

  • I did not say "greatest", "brilliant" or "important", I said inspirational. Tell me a politician that is as motivating as Obama? Just give me one name.

  • I think it depends on what inspires you. For me I was inspired by Dennis Kucinich (and to a lesser extent, John Edwards), but, apparently most of the American people are with you KaliforniaKid. Obama has also received some impressive endorsements, including a nod from Kucinich himself.

  • Really cool pod. I love how the creator of this pod wove together NAT sound (Obama's speech), music and a beat for the song, people singing the words to his speech, and text. They all worked together effectively. I also liked the split screens between various singers/famous people and Obama actually delivering the speech. Obviously the message of Obama's speech was supposed to be one of hope and while it does this on it's own, the other elements I mentioned before serve to drive this home even further and literally lends more faces and voices to the message.
