Costco is in the process of installing skylights and solar panels in it's north American stores at a cost of $745,000.00 per store. It takes 3 - 5 years to regain the investment, but a Costco representative said, "We recognize, like all businesses, that we must continue to conserve and save the planet."

That's why I am a Costco member. They have one of the best records for supporting their employees and consumer.

That's right. Costco is the best. They pay their employees well and now they are responding to the climate crises. Way to go Costco.

Good move by Costco, now if only the government would offer real incentives for companies who are just starting up to go green from the get go, and that way you don't have to wait three to five years to absorb a cost that can be subsidized or written off altogether to help motivate consumers and businesses to be green in the first place.

all structures should include healthy alternatives specially large buildings like these

Great job Costco! They probably suck up so much energy and over time the solar panels will pay for themselves because their energy bills will be reduced. Perhaps they will gain more customers by going green!
