An unnamed donor has given $130 million to Bangladesh to rebuild schools and storm shelters destroyed by a cyclone in 2007.
The donation, which was made through the Saudi Arabian Islamic Development Bank, has been called the single largest donation ever made by an individual to Bangladesh.
A commission led by the World Bank estimates that the Bangladesh cyclone has caused economic losses worth $1.6 billion.
