Imagine flying from northern Europe to Australia with 300 of your mates in under 5 hours for the price of a first class ticket. How sweet would that be! A team of scientists and engineers have designed a plane to do just that. Check out the A2, a plane designed to fly quietly and subsonically, running on liquid hyrdrogen leaving only water and nitrous oxide in its wake.
But not for the claustrophobics: there are no windows. But they can fix that with some flat screens. Yay technology! These plans are pretty amazing...

This is what the citizens of the EU want to spend their dosh on? I notice the throwaway comments in the article about it being noisy and possibly damaging the ozone layer. But, hey, never mind, it's go-faster and there's megabucks in it for someone.
Makes me laugh, UK MPs rabbiting on about energy-saving light bulbs.
