New England manager Fabio Capello has revealed the strict rules he has enforced on the England players in a bid to introduce more discipline and unity within the team, something which he believes is necessary for their success.Gone are the days of specialist treatment for certain players, everyone is now to turn up on time with any 'lateness' reportedly being unacceptable, they will also see a complete ban on mobiles except in their private rooms as well as now being expected to wear the traditional 'smart dress' whenever they are on duty as England representatives.
Capello also insisted previous manager, Steve McClaren's 'friendly' approach will be given a wide berth, with him stating that discipline should come from the manager, something the players are already feeling. Rio Ferdinand spoke to Sky Sports about the changes Capello has introduced, saying “he calls me and a lot of the other players by our surnames. His coaching staff call us by surname as well. That’s the way it is."
So, it seems the players have accepted Capello's new rules, I'm sure the press will as well, so long as tonight's debut outing as England manager brings a win against Switzerland.

I like the sound of this hard approach, mainly because they're all ridiculously rich and talented and I'm jealous.
So far the press are loving it. They've been reporting on how the footballers are a spoilt, overpaid bunch for so long, they seem happy to see somebody do something about it.
