according to wikipedia, squiggle pop originated with the 80's band, Freur, as they started with only a squiggle as their name...and the squiggle pop genre began...and one wonders where would music be today without it.

Although I find most of the definitions given by music reviewers just ludicrous, I think that Electro-Geek-Nerd-Core suits Hot Chip perfectly!
