Howard Zinn speaks at Faneuil Hall in Boston on Patriot's Day, 2007, for the impeachment of George Bush and Dick Cheney as broadcast on Democracy Now! and filmed by me, on the floor.

i know...and they were so quick to go after clinton for a blow-job (not that I agree with Clintonites either) but that tells you what kind of insolent corruptible jerks we have sitting on Capitol Hill...

this guy's a *real* deal for civil rights huh? this stuck with me from that wiki link: "Zinn argued that 'There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people for a purpose which is unattainable.'" (I believe he may only be addressing the pretext for the war but...hey)
I think that shame extends to our very congressmen for their ineptitude in not doing a dam thing about it...they all deserve not only impeachment but conviction and the public satisfaction of bloody floggings for their complicit silence while we and others die.
and really I think it's too bad we have to convince a dumb public this might the "right" thing to do. -
echoz: Agree with you mostly, but there was one congressman opposed to the war from the start and voted against it. That was Dennis Kucinich of Ohio. He is in a battle right now for his seat. We should all hope they manage to keep him. Also at this time Wexler of Florida is fighting the battle for impeachment. That of course doesn't make what's been done right but it is the right thing to do.

I definitely appreciate the kind apprisal. thanks so much. I saw Dennis on msn's Zeitgeist...I *really* like what I saw of him although I must admit that's *all* I've seen of him. Wexler, huh? I signed up to support his impeachment efforts... thanks iam'

Howard Zinn is excellent! I put him on a pedestal as high as Noam Chomsky's! I love his point about Bush not being able to veto it :) I called John Conyers today to DEMAND impeachment...ya'll should do the same! You can reach him directly at 202-225-5126. Get on it! -Peace

yeah...that blow job impeachment was at dogged republican insistence let's remember...Is it any wonder what republicans are complicity able to accomplish once they have their grubby hands on the wheel AND lots of time to reach in our pocketbooks??? Maybe we shouldn't be so surprised to remember what we shouldn't be forgetting =(
