What is art? That's not an easy question to tackle but it is done very effectively. This pod is exciting, visual, humorous, intelligent, and entertaining. What more could you ask for? Wonderful work. Can you cover comic-con next time they are in town the same way you did this art show? I would enjoy that very much.

not bad, although I wonder if the excursion into the history of santa's butt plugs really embellished anyone's definition =) lol
-
Yea I don't think i'll be forgetting the part with Santa & the butt plugs any time soon, that was a little funny. Good stuff though.
-

It was great seeing the reporter cruising South Beach in search of the definition of art. He especially did a great job juxtaposing the opinions of regular people with those of the art scene. This piece gave a look into the lifestyle in South Beach Florida
-
This is a work of art. Creative, imaginative, and unique. This is a fun piece to watch and very intuitive into the world of art.
-
We should bullshit about Bourdieu sometime Brandon.
-
love it. brandon is perfect as the slightly disaffected seeker of knowledge.
-
Nice work! There's something very, uh, brave about reading "Art for Dummies" while sitting on the beach in Miami. LOL

I love how you managed to find the quintessential characters from Art Basel--from the high end snooty art dealers to the dude on the beach with micro-shorts and 80s style tee-shirt. Brilliant.

Nice work, very interesting.
Here's my piece on Art Basel. -
This made me smile. You managed to really tap into the wonderful absurdity that envelopes a insular world like Art Basel. The guy is cute too. Doesn't hurt ;)
-
YOU are art my tweed faced dweeb

Art Basel was a blast, great pod Brandon. You should try out for varsity volleyball. I nominate you for captain.
Check out a bunch more vids n stuff from Art Basel and Gen Art's exhibition on the following topic pages, including some personal art tours from some of the dope creators we met, like SF's own Sam Flores.

OMG! 15 comments, and 130000 views! I mean, 1300 views, whatever...
The producer, Isaac Brown, is really the talent driving this piece. He was an animal in the sweltering heat of Miami, and he wouldn't let me pee for the entire day, that's why most shots are from the waist up.
i wetted myself.
really though... this was quite the interesting exploration into a fascinating world. The art world is so out of control right now, prices are astronomical, and I was told that the big buyers were waiting outside the convention center doors on the opening day, like it was a Mervyn's sale.
Unreal.
-
Nice work Issac. The way you got the light to refract off Brandon's specs was masterful.

well done, impressed with the segment where you're just standing there and everybody is running by :)
-
thank you. you have reminded me why I hate "art." especially "high art." i perfer the "low arts" or popular arts, like tv, hollywood cinema, video games, comics, humor sections of newspaper. you, like South Park. Now that's art.
