Spain is famous for flamenco music and the Ibiza clubbing scene but did you know it has an up and coming hip hop scene as well? The city of Alicante has a a large hip hop culture and two young British guys are at the forefront of it. They have created a meeting point for the hip hop community in Alicante by opening a recording studio and clothing shop. They rap in Spanish as well as English and have used their music as a way into integrate into Spanish life.

Check out this pod from Daily Fix! It shows that though rappers and hip hop artists seem to have a tough image they are big old successful softies on the inside!

Great work, I really like to the transnational hip hop movement.
Subtitles on the Spanish parts would help a little, and it could be a little shorter, but overall wonderful work.-

I thought this was a really good start and a really interesting story but i would have liked to seen a little more actuality and seen a bit more of the shop and studio rather than the main guy speaking to camera . Also, it would be great to hear from more of the spanish locals to see what they make of these two Brit lads just popping up in their home town . Visually, perhaps it would be good to take the stereotypical images of Spain - as you say sleepy squares, flamenco, guitars, or Ibiza, clubbers, foam parties and glitter - and contrast this with the surprising side you're showing us in this pod... I think it's got real potential but for it to make it on TV a think it needs to be just that little bit visually stronger and give the viewer a bit more information about what's going on....

what they say in spanish is the foloowing:
HERE WEVE GOT SOME GOOD SHIT, YES SIR, YES SIR, NOW WEHN THEY GO TO THE BACK..THIS IS WHAT WE'LL HAVE LEFT...and then he shows the record wz the girl on the cover.....
Its so great when people come together and MAKE change and dont WAIT for it.
