Update: Apparently Blackberry service was down intermittently for three hours across North America.




An outage has disconnected BlackBerry smart phones across North America.

AT&T Inc. says the disruption Monday is affecting all wireless carriers. AT&T first learned about the problem at about 3:30 p.m. ET.

There's no word on the cause or when the problem might be fixed.

BlackBerry maker Research in Motion did not immediately return a phone call.

  • From what I'm finding its the features of the Blackberrys that are not working...email, internet, etc.

    Anyone have first hand knowledge?

  • Oh my GOD! You mean I have to wait until I get home to check my e-mail, or even worse, that I might actually have to call my friends and talk with them rather than text message!?!

    Oh fie upon the world and all of it's cruel and unnatural events that bring down our ability to be constantly hooked up to some electronic device... FIE I SAY!
