Last year 27 year old singer/songwriter Gina Rene was homeless living on the streets. But today her music career is thriving thanks to Agape, a spiritual church based in Los Angeles that helps Gina, and countless others like her, turn their lives around. Produced By: Ashley Hughs

Excellent work. The editing and flow of the interviews and music went well. Great job with the audio mixing as well. This is a wonderful example of a character based pod, with movement shots of her in the park, at the beach, walking with her daughter. The conflict was very realistic and hits home with everyone who has ever had financial struggles (or what may come for me in college debt). The information was packed in this pod to include so much of both her history and personal thoughts. Obviously this is a more professional looking pod in my eyes.

Great story about overcoming obstacles to find your purpose in life. Yeah the filming was fantastic, but the personal testimonial Gina gave was a glory to God. This is the true American dream come true. Alexandria House is a prime example of someone with "the law written in their heart". You can't legislate goodness, love and giving. Gina can now go on writing tunes as great as "Rockin Robin" (I'm singing it now in my head) that tell her story and eventually will help someone else overcome too.

This was a really nice feel-good piece. I loved the way the conflict was introduced right in the beginning. It reeled me in as viewer and made me want to know more. How did she overcome her struggles? That was a nice question that was posed indirectly. Also, seeing how she moved from where she was to where she is today, helped the pod to move really well. I think it was a nice touch to go back to the home she stayed in when she was trying to get back on her feet. The performances were a good touch as well. I also thought using her voice accapella over the pod was unique and gave it a really good feel! Well done!

I am in love with this video because it centers on achieving one's dreams despite the major obstacles in life. I am glad she was able to surpass all of that and continue to do what makes her happy. Well reported. I only wish there were more Alexandria Houses to help those like Gina Rene.

Thank you for posting this! I agree with VoyagerFilms. The pod has great movement and the story is inspiring in the way she tells the viewer. There seems to be a nice comfort level between her and the camera person. I also like the way she would slightly reenact parts of her life to show her struggles. Terrific job!
