Artists are considered to be poorly paid, but with the turnaround in the media and the explosion of dotcom companies, graphic artists are fast becoming hot commodities and are earning big money.

i wouldn't know, i have yet to go to the dark side of art so far in my two years of being a real starving artist with a bachelors degree in studio art i have yet to make five hundred dollars with my artwork! Try picking up a pencil or a paint brush once in your life and you might feel what art really is!

I know many artists that flow in both camps: studio art to serve their creative passion and design work to pay the bills.
I guess one CAN create from their heart and still pay a mortgage.
