Hezbollah "If Israel want open war, so it will be"

As images are rolling out of Lebanon of the funeral of the assassinated Hezbollah commander Imad Moughniyah, Hezbollah have declared that they are ready for 'open war' with Israel.

The people of Lebanon had already gathered in mass demonstrations to mark the third year since Lebanon's former Prime Minster was also killed in a car bomb. The anger and upset at this assassination is still something which the Lebanese grieve over, and something which many Lebanese think Syria was behind. Adding to the tension and upset was yesterdays news that a Hezbollah commander had been assassinated in a car bomb attack in Damascus in Syria. Iran, Syria and Hezbollah have accused Israel of the attack.

In front of the many people gathered to mark the death of their former PM and Hezbollah have made some very stark words towards Israel. The reports initially came through the BBC,

"Zionists, if you want this type of open war then let the whole world hear: let it be an open war,"

    Israel is, apparently rightly, on high alert... Is an encore of the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war on the horizon? Yikes.

  • The Israeli army received orders today to raise it's security level of alert along it's northern border with Lebanon.

    A Spokesman of the Israeli army told the Israeli radio that this order has been issued in fear of any retaliation that Hizzbullah could carry out following the assassination of their chief leader Imad Mughniyyah Wednesday in Damascus.

    It is note worthy that Hizbullah officially announced on it's affiliated al Manar TV channel right after the attack that Israel was behind the assassination of Imad Mughniyyah.

    Israel also announced that orders have been issued for it's embassies and institutions all over the world to be on high alert .

    The Israeli radio added that this order applies also to all the Jewish centers located in these countries.

    According to the Israeli radio, the establishment of the Israeli Public security issued orders to all of the Israeli embassies and offices of 'Al' air lines to be on high caution and alert in fear of any revenge attacks.

  • okinawanmajik i agree with a lot of the statements you make but longer ranged rockets will only give Isreal more reasons to attack innocent Palestinians and Lebanese people. More weapons is never the answer my friend

  • i know, but the only thing isreal knows is killing. if it is proven that hezbollah can attack anywhere, and does. and i mean with high impact weapons against isreali cities and military installations. attack power plants and highways or highrise buildings, i think isreal will think twice about firing indiscriminately. isreal does not value life. they only value jews. they dont even value the isreali arabs, they are discriminated againt in isreal, and even the schools are segregated. isreal is an evil apartheid nation and should be scrubbed! the government and the way they do things, not necesarily the people. im not about killing per se. but people will die. so since hamas is kinda puss about things, the next time the IDF kidnaps another lebanese or palestinian person, hezbollah should just open up. 30 or so rockets on Tel aviv, the settlements, and as many as they can on military installations. plus they need as many of those anti tank weapons as possible....THEM BITCHES WORKED LAST TIME!! good deal. plus they need good anti aircraft missiles too. and a solid infantry! advance into isreal a little. and hold it. they need about 15000 troops. and i think isreal will start to really negotiate. and the us will try to bring syria in, but syria will maintain their cowardace and not do shit!

    this is the best time to bring this thing to an end!

  • Im actually Syrian man and I can't agree that they are cowards. I can see why you would come to that conclusion but the Syrians realize that by continously attacking Isreal they are only going to be killing their own innocent people. More often than not the people who get killed in these altercations are children and women, hardly ever military personal. I do however agree that without serious force (for lack of word) the Isreali's will continue to harass and kill the innocent. It is going to be hard to find a way out of this mess, but then again when the UN and collective powers elected for Isreal to be found in the middle east they knew what they were doing. God help the innocent.

  • well, im not calling the people of syria cowards bro...so im sorry if you think that...im not. what i am saying is that isreal has an ally in the united states. jordan and egypt too..but we know they wouldnt even defend themselves. but what i am saying is syria right now, is more worried about NOT looking like a so called instigator or supporter of hezbollah than doing wht you said, support those factions that actually are there to support the innocent.

    its like the black panthers. people americans want to equate them as being like the kkk when they weren't even close. they do that to try to make a counter claim that there are black people that are capable of being racist like them, so it eases their evil or demonism. hezbolla is like the black panthers of the middle east, and should be applauded. im not sure if hezbollah said they took those TWO soldiers (either 2 or 8..cant remember) but isreal will always blame hezbollah for everything. and they would just indiscriminately bomb palestinian refugees, AND christians there, AND druze there...they didnt care.. and they would have for months if it wasnt for hezbollah Launching missiles at the IDF and DEFENDING LEBANON!!! i mean they didnt conduct terrorist attacks, they defended their country! yet they are loathed? the isreali's came in with TANKS and THEY GOT THEIR ASSES WHOOPED! I love it! syria if they had balls, they would align with hebollah at least symbollically and say we support you in the defending of your country. i mean, THE FRIGGIN LEBANESE ARMY DIDNT DEFEND THEIR COUNTRY!! HOW WEAK IS THAT? so hezbollah can give money to help people rebuild their lives...for food...for protection, and they are missrepresented as being a fundamentalist group. if i could donate money to hezbollah i would. if i were there, i would help in whatever i could. not because i hate jews...i dont..all the jews i know are pretty cool. but i cant stand isreali gov. it needs to be wiped off the map!! point bank!

  • Thanks for clearing all that up. I totally understand where your coming from. When you see young children with out parents nor limbs because of evil people it will make you mad as hell. I'm lost on a resolution but Isreal is there to stir up violence and thats exactly what they're doing, but the Dr. King and ghandhi approach is a good one, if they bomb people and those people only protest, they have no reason to keep the killings continue

  • maybe....and i know it wont happen. but someone should get the news together and have maybe a million people wearing white...or something ..like the garb we have to wear when to make hadj, and just walk towards the border and then stop right before. maybe to a check point or something. unfortunately the IDF will open fire on the crowd, but i mean...how will it make the isrealis look? the people in S africa did this and it was the outside world finally taking notice that caused it to happen. in gaza...they need to just walk up to the border and just stand there....sing or chant or yell hell it doesnt matter. but thats what they should do...about a million strong.

    they should do this in lebenon as well. do this for a week. call it the last intifada or something. but this is what is needed. and isreali arabs whom are discriminated in isreal as well should do the same thing but on the other side of the border. a few million people is hard to deny. people will die, but people will die anyways. at least they tried to do it in a non violent mannor. hamas knows they are an obsticle. not because of what they do, but because of who they are. the people decide this thing,...not the governments...its the govs that fuck it up.

  • again my friend i gotta throw a different perspective. Those who claim to be American and hate others and openly support war and oppression are not "real" Americans. They simply coware behind a flag and try to use it as cover, that is why so many people hate the U.S. These people kill and support killings, and dress themselves in the colors of the flag.
    In reality they are not Americans, they are special interest devils, whose only pursuit is money. Many people blindly follow what the so called leaders of the U.S. say, its hard to blame them because we are all born in sin, but those who see the light should not let its glare blind them. Instead appreciate the light (truth) and behold its greatness. Again I truly believe an American is one who loves America, and does not support in the oppression of others.

  • yea but bro, again, you are a little more positive than i am. you would have to know the history of america to really know that that behavior is more american that america! the american dream or idea or whatever you wanna call it, it just that, its an idea...its a creed or what have you that was created by those people that back then had a stake in america. it was conjured when america was only associated with ONE segment of the society. african americans were never even in anyones mind when thinking about an american...i mean think about it; when you think of an american, the first characteristic that comes to mind is a white male, that can do or be what he wants and dreams right? works hard, has his own business and makes his own way...right? well there is a whole segment of the society that that man you are thinking of didnt want you to see. thats america and an american. and that guy could care less about what happens around the world. they love war, and support whomever they want for really no apparent reason. americans love the victor...they love the overdog...they love whomever can get them what they want...thats why americans are easy to dupe and lie to...yet we pass judgement on countries that have dictators. its funny!
