  • building a wall is not going to help at all we will find a way over it

  • Building a wall will help. The goverment has no problem keeping people out of area 51 and Fort Knoxx and they can do the same for our boarders. The coast guard does a great job of protecting our waterways. And I am sure the most powerful country in the world can construct a fence that can't be breached. Or begin shooting tresspassers It should not be our responsibility to fix Mexico's problems we have our own to deal with. Furthermore when did it become accecptable to break our laws by sneaking over our boarders. Go fix your own dam counrty and quit ruining ours. And if you do come here and want to stay try learning the %$*&% language.

  • yeah, the Mexican economy must be improved. perhaps changing US policy (i.e. ending NAFTA) so that the US is no longer sucking natural and human resources of of Mexico...well, it would help. interesting, you (and most mainstream discourse) only discuss Mexicans when addressing "illegal immigration." what of the Canadian border? or people coming here from Europe without documentation? there are millions of undocumented white people in the US...what of those populations in your conversation of the "illegal immigrant problem"?
i encourage you to not perpetuate the usual targeting of people of color when discussing "social problems." it might also be nice to include their voice in your future videos...

  • I would like to respond to the wise comment submitted by cvazquez. First of all, NAFTA/GATT is definitely a major problem that needs to be alleviated. Beyond that, I promise you that I was in no way intentionally targeting "people of color" when I submitted my video. First of all, I don't really consider hispanics to be people of color, nor anyone for that matter. The fact is that the influx of Mexican nationals far outweighs the influx of any other single group to this country, and I do believe that it is because of the reasons that I outlined in my video. I would agree with you that any undocumented people are part of the problem. I just want to morph the continuous existing debate about the flow from Mexico as it seems to not discuss the actual issues. Please don't get me wrong-I submitted this video out of love for ALL people and a desire to truly fix the problems, not just the symptoms I appreciate you bringing your point of view to my attention, and I definitely agree that I should include their voice on my future videos. In fact I will begin with my friends Mario and Maria, my next door neighbors!
