The one way to get the Chinese govt.to put pressure on Bashir to turn over his war criminals and to work to really end the genocide in Darfur is to boycott the Bejing Olympics. And not only will I boycott them, but I will boycott the stations that broadcast them and the companies buying airtime to sell their products. We must let our voices be heard. It is the only way.

  • This is very interesting because I had an opportunity to meet John Prendergast at a forum who wrote "Not on Our Watch" about the Darfur genocide. We got to talk about China's involvement and it is crucial to hit Sudan economically in order for them to listen. China could really change things in a snap- why isn't this being pressed more?
And that day a large group of students did call the white house about the genocide even though all we got in return was, "Thank you for your concern, we will file this complaint."
None the less, it makes a difference.
