I think beating someone with your walking stick after they shoot at you and miss should automatically put you at #3 or higher for badassery, most definitely higher than someone who jacks up a girl's skirt in public. Definitely takes more skill to catch the shooter and smack him silly than to humiliate and molest someone who happens to be standing next to you.

There is only three presiidents since the founding fathers group that raely put their money where their mouths were. The first one was Teddy Roosevelt, the second was Franklin Deleno and the third was Harry S. Truman. I feel that if JFK had been able to finish his term he would have been one of the strongest leaders we had ever seen in Washington.

I would have to agree Martin Van Buren was indeed the most bad ass... Why else would he have his own gang of ruffians?

We have had some bad-ass Presidents. George Washington did not mess around. I read that he road up to two soldiers fighting, got off of his horse and started lifting them both off of the ground them by the neck while yelling at them. Teddy Roosevelt knocked a man out with one punch, after the man, who was shooting his gun off inside a bar in the Dakota Territory, insisted he buy everyone in the bar a drink. If anyone doubts T.R. was not the most bad-ass President of all time, I suggest reading "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt" and "Theodore Rex". Both books authored by Edmund Morris.
