Lunar eclipse 'a comin

The last lunar eclipse until 2010 will take place on Wednesday night, and billions of people around the world will be able to watch (weather permitting). The moon will morph into a glowing, coppery ball, creating the same conditions that saved Christopher Columbus and his crew more than 500 years ago. Isn't it amazing how a seemingly insiginificant astronomical event can have such an enormous effect on history?

  • Truly amazing, we know more about space then our own planet. Really, what if our core is made of cheese?

  • I saw my first actual Lunar Eclipse. It looked like another planet. Saturn was right next to it too. I fell in love with the universe all over again.
