A reasonable reaction...maybe not.

The girlfriend of an anti-smoking German was treated to a dousing with a fire extinguisher after refusing to stop smoking in his flat. It seems Spiegel, 42, went a bit far in his tirade and Christmas came early to the inside of his flat. I wouldn't want to clean that up, nor did police spokesman Michael Waldhecker who stated "it's hellish to clean up". Some direct words there.

Although the girlfriend called the powers that be, nothing could legally be done about it as it was "his appartment and his extinguisher". I doubt the relationship will have survived, but the girlfriend and the nicotine are still going strong.
